The Cambodian Institute for Democracy (CID) will hold a webinar on the topic “The role of citizens in a democratic society”.

The main objective of the webinar is to examine the confrontation between the mass movement for freedom and democracy with regional and global dictatorships and the role of citizens in promoting democracy. What factors caused the competition between mass movement and the dictatorship at the same time in the early 21st century? What are the implications of the above confrontation? Are there any provisions in the Cambodian Constitution that protect the cause of the people for democracy in Cambodia? What are the obligations of the Cambodian people in promoting the democratic process in Cambodia? What can civic education do to help in the future of democracy in Cambodia?
