Press Release: Dialogue on Human Rights in Cambodia: Challenges and Ways Forward

The Cambodian Institute for Democracy (CID) will host a ‘Dialogue on Human Rights in Cambodia: Challenges and Ways Forward’, with the support of the European Union Delegation to Cambodia. This is an opportunity to revitalise the UDHR, show how it can fit the requirements of our day, and advance its promise of liberty, equality, and justice for everyone.

The main objectives of the dialogue are:

  2. To bring different voices of stakeholders to address the challenges to human rights in Cambodia; and
  3. To reflect on the roles and commitments of stakeholders to advance human rights in Cambodia and beyond.

The expected participants for the dialogue consist of 50 individuals who are representatives from various entities, including government agencies, UN agencies, development partners, civil society organisations, media agencies, human rights defenders, youth organisations, and academia, among other stakeholders.
