Empowering Democracy: Bunheng Hoeurm Selected for Leadership Program in Japan
We are pleased to announce that our Programme Coordinator, Bunheng Hoeurm, has been selected for the Invitation Program for young Cambodian politicians and activists in Japan. The program has been conducted since 2018 in order to support Cambodia’s democratic development through promoting dialogue between the ruling party, the opposition parties, and others. This visit will be the seventh dispatch. Ten participants will visit the National Diet and have exchanges with Japanese parliamentarians of the Japan-Cambodia Friendship League. They will also observe the election of the governor of Chiba Prefecture and so on. We hope their visit will be a fruitful one.
This program will provide him and other Cambodian delegates the opportunity to learn more about democracy in Japan and engage in discussions with members of the Japan-Cambodia Parliamentary Friendship Group and other stakeholders.
